Switzerland and Cameroon will play their first match of the World Cup tournament on 24 November at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah. The Swiss side is gunning for a win at the start of the tournament, hoping to achieve qualification for the next round.

Switzerland had a crazy finish to their Nations League. After losing the initial three matches in Group 2, they rallied back and won three in a row. They beat Portugal (1:0), Spain (2:1), and the Czech Republic (2:1).

They finished third in their group, meaning that they are going to be competing in League A next season as well. But it seems that the Swiss side is upping their form just in time for the start of the tournament.

Cameroon, on the other hand, made it to the competition thanks to a miraculous last-minute goal in extra time to eliminate Algeria. Unfortunately for them, they did not display good form after that. 

They were defeated by the likes of Uzbekistan (2:0) and South Korea (1:0), and only played to a draw against Jamaica (1:1). If they are to beat the Swiss, they need to rally their troops together.
