The Champions League final lands in Munich, but this isn’t just another heavyweight clash. PSG, desperate to lift their first-ever European crown, arrive with flair, youth, and the ghost of 2020 still lingering. Inter, wounded but wiser since their 2023 heartbreak, bring steel and scars from battles that shaped them.
While Les Parisiens are the favourites at the moment, it’s impossible to ignore everything the Nerazzurri have done this season. Just mere moments will define this clash, but it’s up to our expert, Aleksandar Prokic, to show you where to look. Check out our expert prediction for a detailed review of the game.
Champions League, Saturday, May 31st, 21:00
The Champions League final rarely guarantees fireworks, but this year’s clash between PSG and Inter might just break the mould. Both sides arrive in Munich with sharp weapons up front. That’s why the BTTS – Yes market is worth some attention.
PSG lead the competition for non-penalty xG (31.0), and their average of 18.6 shots per match shows just how relentless they’ve been going forward. Luis Enrique’s side have scored in all but one of their 16 Champions League matches this season, netting 19 goals in the knockout phase alone.
Inter, meanwhile, have found the net in 13 of 14 European games. Lautaro Martínez is in red-hot form, and their five away goals across ties in Munich and Barcelona underline their ability to punch through elite defences. They’ve also been involved in high-scoring thrillers, with each of their last five UCL matches featuring goals at both ends, averaging 4.4 goals per game.
True, Inter boast the most clean sheets in the tournament, but they’ve overperformed their xGA by more than six goals. That suggests cracks beneath the surface. And with PSG’s press and pace likely to stretch them, a shutout feels unlikely.
Factor in the magnitude of the occasion and the attacking firepower on both benches, and it’s hard to see either side settling for a cautious approach. Finals have been historically tight, but this one looks primed to buck the trend.
PSG vs Inter Prediction odds via bet365 as at 15:00, May 28th, 2025. Odds may now differ.
PSG are in the enviable position of arriving in Munich with a clean bill of health. Luis Enrique has all of his key players available, allowing him to stick with the same high-energy lineup that overcame Arsenal in the semi-finals. With Ousmane Dembélé in Ballon d’Or-chasing form and Achraf Hakimi delivering consistently from deep, expect both to be central to PSG’s attacking blueprint again.
The midfield trio of João Neves, Vitinha, and Fabián Ruiz provides balance and control, while goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma remains a steady presence between the sticks after several standout knockout performances. The only real decision for Enrique lies in attack, where Bradley Barcola and Warren Zaïre-Emery are pushing for starts, but the manager is likely to go with experience and proven form.
Inter, by contrast, have two major absentees. Piotr Zielinski and Benjamin Pavard are both expected to miss the final after picking up injuries before the league match against Como. Pavard’s absence weakens Inter’s right-side solidity, while Zielinski’s creativity will be sorely missed in midfield. Simone Inzaghi will rely heavily on Nicolò Barella and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to control the tempo and support the front two.
Still, Inter’s core remains intact. Lautaro Martínez, with nine Champions League goals this season, will spearhead the attack alongside Marcus Thuram, while Francesco Acerbi and Alessandro Bastoni provide experience at the back. Inzaghi is unlikely to deviate from his trusted 3-5-2 setup.
PSG possible starting lineup:
Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doue, Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia
Inter possible starting lineup:
Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martínez, Thuram
