The English Football League One, currently Sky Bet League One due to sponsorship, is simply known as League One. The league takes third place in the hierarchy of English football. You can also check out our predictions for the league above, the EFL Championship.
The English League One has a traditional round-robin format where each of the 24 teams plays 46 games. In other words, every club plays the others once at home and once away.
At the end of the season, three get promoted to the Championship. However, unlike the three spots for promotion, the league drops four teams and gets four from League Two.

At the same time, three clubs are demoted from the EFL Championship to replace the three promoted. In other words, the league has seven different clubs each season.
Unlike the demotion from the Championship, where three clubs directly drop to League One, the promotion is slightly different. The first two clubs get a direct spot, while those ranked from three to six head into the playoffs.
The first round of the League One playoffs is a two-legged clash. Each team gets the opportunity to play at home. However, the final match is played at Wembley and determines the third club to join the Championship.
To be as precise as possible in making a League One prediction, you can use and analyse the stats. An important element in sports betting is familiarity with the league’s history. Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it, so make sure to learn from the earlier leagues. That is why we offer some vital information about League One below.

However, there were less than half of the games in which Both teams scored. Both teams scored a goal only in 264 games out of 557, which is 47%. Check out the table below for the frequency of some goal markets throughout the regular season.
